Job description

PWNT is looking for a Sales and Marketing Engineer to be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is a full-time position in a “cutting-edge” project & research environment. This person should possess the following skills and traits: o Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent or higher qualifications will also be considered. o Language skills: Fluency in English; additional proficiency in other languages is advantageous for effective internal and client communication. o Excellent writing and communication skills to effectively convey technical information to a diverse audience, including researchers and customers. Including the ability to produce materials autonomously (skilled with DTP, e.g. InDesign) o Flexibility in work assignments is essential, as we actively engage in a dynamic and diverse range of tasks, embodying a collaborative approach to address challenges typical of a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME). o Adaptability to changing work demands, allowing for the implementation of innovative marketing approaches and strategies. o Strong analytical skills to analyze data and provide valuable insights for optimizing sales strategies. o Willingness to travel abroad several times a year, showcasing a commitment to building and maintaining global relationships. o Ability to translate customer demands into our sales pipeline, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and strategies. o Experience in the (drinking) water industry is a plus, providing a valuable background for understanding industry-specific challenges and opportunities.

At PWNT, the Sales and Marketing Engineer dedicates 70% of their time to driving project acquisition in line with PWNT’s sales strategy. Collaborating closely with the Head of Technology Application and Piloting and the Head of Business Development, the role involves engaging external customers, consultants, and key market influencers. The objective is to align their needs and challenges with the ongoing work in the Group R&D and the Piloting Department, requiring a blend of technical acumen and commercial finesse to deliver customized solutions effectively. This demands a structured, data-driven approach to ensure optimal deployment of our innovative solutions. The ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels is essential for success in this dynamic environment. The remaining 30% of their time is devoted to executing and furthering PWNT’s marketing and communication strategy. This involves seamless collaboration with the NSI Marketing Team for alignment and reporting on all initiatives. Additionally, close coordination with the management team ensures the timely updating and delivery of the marketing and communication strategy. Interfacing with business development is crucial to defining unique selling propositions (USPs) and crafting impactful marketing materials. The role also includes the management of external contractors for the creation of new materials such as posters, brochures, and giveaways. The ideal candidate possesses basic engineering knowledge and objectives, adopting a hands-on approach. As one of the initial points of contact with clients, strong communication skills and a positive attitude are paramount for the PWNT Sales and Marketing Engineer.
